Throughout the year, employees at Audubon County Memorial Hospital & Clinics (ACMH) conduct several fundraising programs connected to other organizations in the community to fill a need. In August, ACMH staff donates back-to-school supplies in partnership with the local school districts to be given to students in need. During the holiday season, hospital employees donate toys, warm clothing and winter essentials to be distributed to families that would otherwise go without on Christmas morning.
Throughout the entire year, hospital departments work together to raise as much money as possible to be donated to the Audubon County Chapter of the American Cancer Society’s Relay for Life event. This fundraising effort is much anticipated and relies on the creativity and teamwork of all ACMH staff. Examples of fundraisers include: a beautiful plant silent auction hosted by the business office; a community breakfast hosted by the physical therapy department; children’s handmade outdoor picnic furniture was sold on a silent auction, along with many others! Through the years, ACMH staff has raised more than $20,354 for Audubon County Relay for Life. ACMH is proud to be one of the top fundraising teams and earned the “Team Spirit” Award in 2016.
“Caring for our community is at the core of what we do and an important part of our mission,” said ACMH CEO Suzanne Cooner. “By partnering with local organizations to give back, we serve our community, improve health and change lives.”
